This statement comes in response to Berardi’s interview with La Gazzetta dello Sport, where the player voiced his ambition to play in the Champions League and revealed his disappointment with a failed transfer to Juventus last year. Berardi had said: «Last year I wanted to go to Juventus, but the clubs didn’t agree. I was upset about it and argued with the club because it was the right moment.»
Berardi, who is under contract with Sassuolo until June 2027 and is the highest-paid player in Serie B, has been linked with several top Italian clubs over the years, including Juventus, Atalanta, Milan, Napoli, Lazio, Fiorentina, and Roma. But his deep connection to Sassuolo has always prevailed.
